Take a look at a Windows RIS server. thats if you are running a windows 2k or 2k3 server.

Yeah you can remove quite a lot of trash. What I like specifically is the ability to turn off all that UAC crap, Driver Signing and other security crap.

You need to use it before you install vista mate. What it does is creates you a new customized Vista disk with all the crud removed
