Getting used to widescreen...

Good to know i'm not alone. Cheers lads. Wasn't looking forward to trying to convince ebuyer to take it back because it was making me ill!

I'll probably turn off all the vista flashing and fading effects too, wouldn't surprise me if they was attributing to my headaches.

lol - True! I got lots of Headaches after switching from my good old CRT!

Hopefully they will die down. I remember thinking arn't LCD meant to be better for you.

it took me a while to get used to 19" ...

what you have to do, is not focus on the whole screen, but focus on the bit you are using, so like, right now, i am looking at the box, where i am typing, the rest of the screen, i am paying no attention to...

treat it like a painting...a detailed one, you dont look at the whole thing, you select things, one at a time, and analyze them....its kinda like that

I went from a 19" tft to a 24" WS and loved it!

Make sure there are other sources of light in the room to avoid eye strain

ah, also, its best not to have lights next to your monitor, back of monitor, directly behind you....

the best lighting i've found is have lights inline to my left and right, mounted to the wall.

I never had a problem, but then I went from 17" CRT to 17" TFT to 21" WS to 24" WS...nice and easy does it
