Possibly, altho the security 'should' be inherently better than windows as it is based on unix.
There are a few viruses etc on osx atm, but most of them are minor and have been fixed quickly.
I guess your viewpoint on it differs with how you see hackers/virus makers (as in why they do it).
I doubt the uprising of viruses or spyware would grow on osx as much as some would believe.
Look how easy it is to infect a windows system with a rootkit, in some cases it's a matter of installing a service/driver. Something which most windows machines wouldn't even question. Especially as they are initialised by windows components.
I don't think everyone would get on with or respect osx tho tbh.
