well i dont want to spend to much money on a card what do u think will be the best card for about 70-80 pounds?

I`d be asking myself why it works well in safe and not regularly.

Chances are, especially if its a prebuilt pc, that the desktop install is full of crap.

To test this out, I guess u could create a new user account and see if it runs well from there.

EDIT:70-80 pounds u can look at something 7600GS/GT, maybe lucky and find a deal on a 7900 - but I seriously doubt it.

Because CoD2 safemode looks like cod1. (had too run that on my 2200+, 5700 rig)

For that money id go for an X1600XT.

Ah I see what u`r saying Ham, it`s safemode is kinda like stripping all the settings down ?

Does a 7500 perform significantly less than a 6600 ? I only ask cos I can remember it looking/performing pretty well.
