Phobya Xtreme Nova 1080 Radiator

Hey guys,

im still thinking about what radiator to use in my water cooling setup.

Im planning to cool a i7 970 cpu and a gtx 580 from EVGA, im going to be adding a second gtx 580 next year.

i came across the Phobya Xtreme nova 1080 radiator. http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cust...roductid=12098

Would this radiator be able to cool the i7 970 and the 2 x gtx 580 in a single loop?

yes it can.

Make sure if you do get it you get a really decent pump as well.

Nothing less than that. And have it sell to full power all the time. All so do not change the top on it leave it as it is.

Its a very good pump indeed how ever the make sure if you are going to change the pump speed you be very gentle with the slot to change it as its very delicate.

would there be any difference in a single loop system (like the one i have described at the begining of this topic) and two seperate loops (one for gpu's and one for cpu0?

the thing is that some people are saying single loop systems vs 2 loop systems dont have much difference in terms of cooling ability. All this is making me confused, so im seeking opinions from many people to help me as it my first time watercooling and i want to get it right.

Me personally will all ways go with a 2 loop system if using a High end GPU system. Its best to separate them so that you as much more performance over the GPU and the CPU.

Many people will give you advice over what to use how ever not ever one is right. The best thing to do is start with a single loop see how things go and then if you can afford it move to a two loop system. the biggest problems is price. The second biggest problem is being able to house such a system.

if you use this rad you could use two pumps and have the line split into 2 single lines one for the GPU and one for the CPU then when they merge and go back into the rad the liquid will be cooled down more effectively.
