I will be using it for a bit of benchmarking fun so the efficiency between the CPU and GPU is important.
For gaming I use another rig.
If you're benching then you will be looking at haswell.

2011 and 1150 are both fine. Theres a HUGE difference in price though.
TBH mate your questions screen n0000b because you are being very vague.
What people are trying to ask is what is it going to be used for, bragging rights on forums, or from rendering or gaming or simulation etc...
Just saying PERFORMANCE does not help you sound like Jeremy Clarkson always saying POWER!!!
Tell us EXACTLY what the rig is/will be used for and we can tell you what we believe is best for you. If all you are trying to achieve is the best possible benchmark scores at the highest res then i believe a 4770k/Titan setup is what you will want.
I just wanted to know how much better/efficient a 4770k is compared to older CPUs when using a Titan. Perhaps this could be the basis of a future review that Tom could do. He could use a difference card if he wanted like a GTX 780 and run it on all the common CPUs/mobo's to show the difference in the various setups.
This would be a huge waste of time as the only people that would even really need/benefit from that knowledge would be serious benchmarkers plus how would you judge what overclock to put on the cpu e.g. 4.5 on a haswell isn't the same as 4.5 on Ivy/Sandy. In GRAPHICAL benchmarks your biggest contributor to points is going to be your GRAPHICS CARD.
Kaapstad;667372[B said:]If you choose unwisely when it comes to CPU/mobo's this can have quite a dramatic effect on the fps in games.[/B] I have not read many of the threads here but I would not be surprised if one of the more common ones is "will my new graphics card be bottlenecked by my CPU". This is a subject that all gamers should know more about.
Thankyou to everyone who has tried to help me
I think I had best stop here
Lmao you really think a motherboard or RAM will have a dramatic effect on games? Motherboard has no affect except on the Overclocks. Ram only helps APUs.
Are you talking about the amount of RAM? Because that obviously affects performance.

Now to clear some things up...Any 4 core intel CPU(from sandy and up) will not bottleneck any GPU on the market. This is a subject many noobs need to understand.
Hope this helps.
Who mentioned Ram ?
I know it was not me.
I also note you have quoted intel quad cores, that leaves an awful lot of CPUs, I think you have made my point for me.
I sometimes wonder why I bother.............
No but 4gb is still enough. I've never used more than 3.7gb of ram while running any game. Speed doesn't do really anything. Unless you're running an apu.
