In my opinion anyway, the last game I enjoyed as much as this one was MGS3 back in 2005.

Alien Isolation isn't perfect though, there are problems with the Alien AI and some of the game mechanics...

That's the way I see it as well, i'd rather have 1080p with 144hrz and Gsync than just 1440p and 1440hrz. Plus with DSR you are getting better picture quality which is closer to native 1440p anyway....

Native 1440p will always look better because of the extra pixels, but 1440p with DSR on 1080p will still look better than normal 1080p would.

I'll give that a try, hopefully Nvidia will have some new drivers out soon with a slight performance boost to help me out seen as 344.16 are only the Maxwell release drivers.

Yes, but if you don't have a 4K screen it downsamples. (renders in 4K and then resizes the image to your res) You still get the same performance hit as if you were running 4K native though.

I doubt you would see any real world difference between the two to be honest. On paper you may see a couple of degrees difference but it isn't anything that you will benefit from by going for one...
